At my wedding conference here in San Francisco – I had the pleasure of watching mixologists Helen M Claydon & Charlotte Voisey mix delicious cocktails and show us some really creative alternatives for signature drinks.
This one was my favorite signature cocktail from Monday evening – the Elderflower Smash (ps. love the use of edible flowers in the drinks)
Elderflower Smash
* St. Germain
* fresh lemon
* fresh mint
* Angostra bitters
Press the mint and lemon into a mixing glass, add the bitters, St. Germain and top with ice. Stir and serve on the rocks with an edible flower to match the wedding colors! Doesn’t it look wonderful?
PS. you can substitute the St. Germain for 360 vodka if you’d like an alternative drink.

In San Francisco on Monday, I had the pleasure of meeting Tara Guerard, author of Weddings.
Tara (Ter-ra and don’t you dare mispronounce it LOL) is a lifestyle wedding designer based in Charleston, South Carolina & New York. I related so well to her quick wit and no-non-sense approach to wedding planning & design.
This southern inspired collections of weddings is an absolutely stunning book. Full of eye candy, romance and southern charm.
it was such a pleasure to listen to Tara speak about spatial planning when designing a wedding venue or wedding tent. I loved hearing about how she creates esthetic design blended with functionality to enhance the use of a space.

I’m currently is gorgeous San Francisco attending a wedding design academy and meeting with a number of exquisite linen suppliers here – sourcing great chair covers and linens for our couples’ wedding decor.
