Dress up a standard tealight easily by using a rose or rosepetals around the tealight. Whether you want to add some color to your tables, or want to create some depth and texture – this is a simple way to embellish your candles.

{source : California Wedding Planner Conference Jolyn attended}

Using a larger votive holder, place a small amount of water in it, and place an open rose into the votive holder. Remove some of the inner petals of the rose, and place a tealight (still in it’s aluminum or plastic cup) inside of the rose and light.

For safety, ensure the tealights are embedded in a rose which is completely in glass. Ensure the roses are moist and well watered before using for the tealight.

I bet you were thinking you could just ignore your dancefloor, right?

Well, I suggest you make use of that empty space during dinner and add lighting for a dancefloor wash or even a lighted monogram on the dancefloor.

We use a wash to add some color to a dancefloor or to add a bit of a design element to it.

Your monogram or names can also be superimposed on your dancefloor.

Generally, we’ll turn off the dance floor wash by the time we start your first dance, but you may choose to keep your monogram on the dancefloor for your first dance. Just be sure you know where the light beam comes from, so you can stay behind it and not block your lighted monogram during your dance.

Our team loves adding these elements into our weddings – never ignore your dancefloor again – instead, turn it into a focal point during your dinner and first dance.

Are you adding a dancefloor wash or dancefloor monogram to your reception dancefloor? Share the details with me in the comments section.
