Lisa & Cam’s very busy life meant they had little time to plan the simply elegant wedding they envisioned, so with a year to go, they began working with Nuance Occasions to make their wedding dreams come true!
“Dear Jolyn, it is hard to sum up how grateful we are for all your help with our wedding. You played an integral role in making the wedding of our dreams. Thank you for all the time & effort you spent to make sure ever detail was just right. There are so many things we want to thank you for but we can’t list them all. So simply – thank you!” – Lisa & Cameron

Lisa and Cameron selected Edmonton’s oldest catholic churchs – St. Joachim to best accomodate their 120 guests. As Lisa approached the alter, a special moment of family hugs were shared amongst both families, before the touching ceremony began. Lisa’s bouquet was a stunning mixture of white florals – with the brown clad bridesmaids carrying rose and hydrangea bouquets made by Coral’s Designs.
As the couple went off with their photographer Jill of J.Shantz Photography to Whyte Ave and other locations, final preparations began over at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club for reception. Lisa and Cam’s desire to leave a minimal impact resulted in the design of simple candle centerpieces, surrounded by lucky bamboo, which doubled as guest favors to take home.
Loving the chandelier design of their Pink Polka designed invitations – they carried the design through their placecards, table numbers, favour tags, slide show template and their ceremony programs. As guests arrived, they were found their appropriate placecard and signed a coffee table book of Italy (the couples’ honeymoon destination) – so that the newlyweds would be able to look back with fond memories of both their wedding and honeymoon.
Their signature drink ‘The 402′ featuring tequila was tray based as guests arrived, and then guests could move into the main lounge to view the chef at the custom sushi station (the grooms favorite food) – prepare it right before their eyes! His stealth knife moves and sense of humor kept guests well entertained while enjoying the golf course view!
The scrumptious dinner and dessert buffet was followed by fun speeches including a gift certificate to the dorms at the UofA and a special made Boy Scout helmet….you’ll have to ask Lisa and Cam about those details!
After the cake created by Simply Elegant was cut with Lisa’s parents wedding knife, the night was energized by the music of Rob & Andrew of Nuance Sound DJ Service - and Lisa and Cam closed out their weddng late into the night!
Lisa and Cam – as you honeymoon in Rome, we trust you are reliving the memories of your elegant wedding day – we hope the clean and modern lines of your wedding stationery and decor were better than you first envisioned nearly a year ago! We can’t wait to hear all about your honeymoon!
