Music Style :: To iPod or Not?

iPod Wedding MusicI have many clients consider the use of an iPod to manage the music of either their wedding ceremony, their wedding reception or both.

As with all things wedding, my motto is to leave the professional work to the professionals.

If you are considering an iPod wedding, you must view this video on You Tube: iPod Wedding Reception

One of my favorite DJs from Toronto – Michael Coombs of Prodigy Entertainment – recently shared this wedding video link. This video shows a couple with their groomsman (I’m assuming by the tux) managing the start of their wedding reception with an iPod. You simply must view to see all the tribulations they encountered.

If you are considering an iPod wedding – you MUST view this video and be prepared to manage any of the situations that arise.

Waaaayyyy back when, I had to cue the music at my sister’s wedding and be the maid of honour. What a lot of pressure – not to mention the cassette (yes, that’s how long ago it was) wasn’t cued up to the right spot. A professional would take care of all of that and more.

An iPod is a good thing to have in an emergency kit. At a recent wedding social I attended, the original DJ didn’t show and an iPod got us through until the new DJ crew showed up. It rescued the pace of the party and everyone was entertained until the professionals showed up to kick it into high gear.
