Chantal & her mother originally approached Nuance Occasions to create a truly unique and elegant black & white wedding for the Winspear Theatre and Hotel MacDonald Empire Ballroom.

The ceremony site of the Studio at the Winspear Theatre was completely transformed, with thanks to the team at Exquisite Creations. With lots of fabric draping, tall candelabras and uplighting – the room was transformed from the blank slate we started with. The aisle decor, with the custom printed aisle runner chiming ‘and they lived happily ever after’ ensured this was a wedding fit for a princess.
The party then moved over to the The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald, Edmonton – Empire Ballroom, where the black and white decor fit in beautifully with this historic hotel. Black satin floor length linens were covered with white organza overlays, and a black & silver checked charger plate. The rolled black satin napkins were placed on top of the reception program and menu cards.
Floral centerpieces and bouquets were designed by Nathan at Graham & Lane Florists. The unique silver metal twists and ameythest gem stones made a modern touch to both bouquets and centerpieces.
The ‘W’ monogram was carried through all the stationery details including the wedding cake custom crystal topper and martini luge carved by the Hotel MacDonald team. The stunning 4 tier cake was designed by Deliciously Different Cakes was a true masterpiece and fit perfectly with the decor scheme.
The couple enjoyed their photo session with Carey Nash – a friend of the couple and fabulous photographer – I’m sure he caught some very stunning photographs of this wedding!
Chantal & Michael – we hope your wedding day was just the start of your fairytale life together. Thank you for allowing the Nuance Occasions to help you design this special day and ensure no details were overlooked for you both!
