Living in Northwest Territories doesn’t give you many options for weddings, and it’s why Amanda & Ivan decided to exchange their July nuptials in Edmonton. Nuance Occasions was pleased to assist them with planning this vibrant and colorful affair.

For ease, both the ceremony and reception were held at the Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference center. The late afternoon gazebo wedding was held under a sunny sky (after 2 days of rain!)…complete with red carpet! Their daughter Lauryn was the perfect flower girl. The ceremony was precided over by Marriage Commissioner Rose Rosenberger who made sure to create a truly personal ceremony that reflected their family!
After some photos and socializing, guests came indoors to enjoy a true Ukrainian feast. The room was decorated in vibrant frushia and orange. The unique floral centerpiece created by Nuance Occasions added to the whimsy of the color scheme!
The decadent chocolate buttercream cake was created by Simply Elegant, and the cake table was covered in rose petals! Photos of the northern landscapes were placed throughout the room. Their guestbook featured native beading from a local artisan.
To share the day with their daughter, the couple sat at a ’sweetheart’ table for 3, and this table even included a sign for the ‘princess’ herself! The couple had purchased a unique polar bear decanter and wine glasses that were used for at their sweetheart table.
And because everyone loves candy – and incredible candy buffet was created for after dinner…it was really hard to see if the kids or adults were having more fun with this!!
The following vendors helped to create this incredible day: Smiley Eyes Photography, Kaobella Hair & Make Up, Awesome Blossom for the bouquets.
Amanda and Ivan – have an incredible journey back up north, and thank you for bringing your Northern hospitality to Edmonton! It was a pleasure working with you both over the past year! Best wishes!
