Good morning to all my blog readers, followers, vendors and most of all clients!
As I’m writing this post, I’m excited and nervous all at once – I’m putting into words, for all to see, about the transformations happening over here at Nuance Occasions headquarters.
I can’t believe it’s been just over 11 years since that I started Nuance Occasions – with an intent to make wedding planners more common, to push the envelope for design in Edmonton and to make wedding day magic for countless couples! In those years, my business has grown a lot and changed a lot since it’s humbled beginnings…but in that time I’ve changed too…I’ve grown older (sadly), wiser (hopefully) and my passion for weddings has grown strong, but in a different way than I would have imagined 11 years ago.
Two years ago, the wheels were put into motion to shift the dynamics of Nuance Occasions – to begin to focus more on destination weddings around the globe. With some very special staff members growing their own businesses, I felt like the time was right for the change.
I’m excited to to announce that next week I’ll be unveiling our new look, and new name – dedicated completely to destination weddings & honeymoons. Nuance Occasions feels like it’s been my name for 11 years, and it was a very difficult decision to put it to rest, but I believe it’s time for a fresh start and new adventures.
It is my pleasure to introduce to you… WANDER LOVE WEDDINGS AND TRAVEL

I want to thank all my past clients – I have sooooo many fond memories and have loved watching you have children and your love for each other grow…I was so touched and honored to be a part of each and every one of your wedding days! And my current destination clients – we have such incredible destination weddings in the works – I’m so excited to see them all come together!
To the Edmonton vendors and venues I’ve worked with along the way – wow – you are all so talented and have helped make my client’s dreams come true. I will still stay in contact with the Edmonton wedding community (cause I love you all too much!) and I look forward to getting to bring some of your talents around the globe with my destination weddings.
And to those who have worked with me on my team – you helped me grow Nuance Occasions to be an incredible company – and I love you all for it and I’m so excited to watch your own companies now grow and prosper. I wish you a long road filled with much success & happiness!
Wedding Couples: If you need local wedding planning & coordination assistance, your wedding will be in great hands with Ashley (Simply Unique Weddings) and Emilie (Flawless Expressions) as these women are wonderful, talented and just as anal-retentive-detail-orientated as I am! And I love them for it!
I will be keeping this website up – as I know it’s a trusted resource for many…and will still be blogging about weddings in Edmonton and around the globe…and I hope you’ll still stay tuned…but I hope you’ll join me in my new adventure and follow me along in my new business endeavors…I can’t wait to reveal it all next week to you!
Thank you for bearing with me – but I felt the need to share the changes with all of you who have followed me over these years…I’m so grateful for the friendships I’ve made with Nuance Occasions. I know 2012 is going to be a great year!
With love and best wishes for a fabulous 2012!
Jolyn
